02/27/2003 Entry: "a fine for using cell phones"

[Previous entry: "Kiki and Lala's Cookies"] [Main Index] [Next entry: "kiki and waiwai not talking ..."]

Anyone watched the NEWS last nite? Cell phones could be very annoying when others are trying to enjoy a movie or a meal. But a fine for $100 for the first warning and $500 for the second time you use your cell in a public place (library, theaters, and etc.) is a bit too much. But then again, I guess if there is no penalty, no one would stop. Truthfully, if someone's cell phone go off during a movie, who is going to track that person down? Are they going to cause a disturbance during the movie for everyone just to get that person out so he or she can be written up?

I don't know. There might be more to the story???

Yeah...people just don't have anything better to do than COMPLAIN I guess. School are actually confiscating the cells if used on campus according to my baby sis.

Oh.. and the next time someone's cell phone goes off, or is talking on their phone in a theater during a movie, I will be on my cell phone calling the police to report him. Hopefully the person next to me won't use their cell phone to rat me out. It's and endless cycle.

Well next time kiki's cell phone goes off on a public city street, I'm gonna have to jump on him and make a citizen's arrest. I think this law is just like the carpool violation, speed limit, littering laws, etc.. Sure it says $2000 fine for littering and minimum $271 fine for a car pool violation, but who's gonna stop you? You ever see a car spill all their furniture and clothes on the highway, or somebody flick a booger out the window? What about people who smoke right outside public buildings and restraunts? I've never seen a cop give away a ticket for these type of things. This is a useless law that won't be enforced and is meant to scare people. I think the police have more important things to do. Otherwise we can fine people for every public disturbance imagineable. For example, babies crying, people that talk too loud, people that fart in public, or people that take a dump in their pants during the middle of a final exam.

What they should do, however, is fine people at school when their cell phone goes off during class. Also, while they're at it, they should fine people that poop in their pants at school. Heck, even fine the people that stink up the bathrooms with their poop. Everytime I go into the bathroom to wash my hands something has their pants down to their ankles.
