Hello All. As some of you that have kept up with my "Sucky Work Life Story" ...might know that I had applied for a job in Jan 2004. Well the results are here No job for CAT!!! They decided to hire someone that had 10yrs of ucsf admin experience instead of me because they feel like she would stay on the job for a longer period as oppose to me (too young) which might leave them at any time. I just hate this feeling...feel like such a failure =( That's the update for you guys. It's ok. I'll find a better job *_*

Well Cat, they don't know what they are missing. It's their loss. =)

Thanks Babe! They didn't state clearly that there was an age factor but too me that is the message that was implied. Oh well, you are right and I absolutely WOULD NOT want to work for someone who is blinded, traditional, and to add as SCATTERED as her.

I think that's wrong, it's another type of discrimination. You are not hired not because of your inability to fulfil the requirements, but because of your age and the probability that you will be more able and willing to find another job.

That's just fucked up! I guess that's the difference between traditional thinking and innovative thinking. I'd think that if someone is doing administrative work for 10 years, that means the person is not willing to learn and unable to adapt to new things/enviroment. Who would want such a worker?

Anyway, they don't know what they are doing, so don't think too much about it. Be happy that you are not working for a boss that is blinded. Because even if you did get the job, you'll never be noticed.
