Nothing better than feeling ACCOMPLISHED!!!

There are certainly times when I hate the unknown since it is unpredictable....and especially when I'm expected to make some very important decisions (seriously...as comparable to life and death situations) it becomes even worst. Lately, I have been doing just that where I get so stressed out as I am expected to perform tasks at work that I am not even trained on...all those degrading remarks from SOME PEOPLE just adds to my frustration.

I HATE MY JOB! Not because it's stressful but because I can't stand the moral in my department. People are just SUPER DUPER evil...with their backstabbing-two-face characters...pisses me off.....

....Well back to my story...sorry for side-tracking...just makes me really !!!angry!!!

I finally have a sense of ACCOMPLISHMENT because I figured out a formula for my budget that my boss didn't know how to do and she has been doing that kinda work for 8 yrs. Check this out....First she doubted my formula and even laughed at me....but because I was SO SURE that I GOT IT RIGHT based on the Agency's Guidelines, which I followed....I INSISTED that I did it right.

But that didn't matter...because my boss thinks....how could I get it right when she thinks that she knows it all....she laughed again and said, "fine! go ahead and send it to the agency...and see what happens..if it comes back to you then you will find out....." WHAT THE HECK? Find out what? that I did it wrong? So I gave her my "WHATEVER" look and walked back to my office....still insisting that my formula is correct!!!!

GUESS WHAT? After Lunch, she came over and asked me how I came up with my formula and how can she do her budget like mines? HA! What? now my formula is good enough!!!

Of course being MY supervisor she can not admit that she was incorrect or even acknowledging the fact that I did a great job on my part.....but that doesn't bother me because I know I GOT IT RIGHT!!!! and I should be the one laughing.... =P

all I can say is ACCOMPLISHED!!!

Thanks Wlip for your wise words and putting change into a positive perspective.

Lately, I have been so overwhelmed with negative energy that sometimes some of that just passes onto me...which prevents me from seeing anything positive from any situation.

All I can think of is....ahhh... finally another day is over =) without really considering what I have learned from each day because I am just so glad that that day is over and any degrading or negative energy is left at the OFFICE.

Wlip, your comment definitely provides a new meaning in what I do and what I am trying to do to be where I am. Thanks for the words of Encouragement ^.*

First a BIG well done!

Changes causes unknown and sometimes leads to an unpredictable path and result. However, change can be a good thing. Unlike your boss who has done her budget in the same way for the last 8 years and have never ask herself the question "WHY does it have to be done this way? Can it be change?" You have made a change; a change for the better. This is what makes mankind/womankind rules earth, not the PIGS; ~ not that I am implying that your boss is a PIG, neither am I declining.

In my view, as a manager myself, training can be seem to serve 2 proposes: 1)to educate those who can't or doesn’t have the information to learn themselves in the given time; 2)to prepared those for changes.

The fact they you have managed to accomplish your task without the required training means that you are more than what you are currently doing, you have the potential for growth and you have the ability to adaptor to changes. I doubt the PIG….. I mean your manager has the knowledge to see and understand this.

BTW, I so hates "backstabbing-two-face characters" I do every I can to ensure our company never hire one.

Well Done! I believe you have a bright future ahead of you.
